Localmind closes funding and is moving to SF!
We are ecstatic to announce that we are one huge step closer to turning the Localmind vision into a reality.
We have just closed a round of seed financing from an incredible group of investors that we have gotten to know over the past few months, all of whom truly grasp what we are trying to create. Our new partners include Granite Ventures, iNovia Capital, Real Ventures, Ian Sobieski, Peter Bordes, Ty Danco, Zach Aarons, and Ash Jhaveri. The influx of funds will help us accelerate our growth, continue a blistering pace of innovation, and — most important of all — build a world-changing product.
In addition, with this round closed the Localmind team will moving to downtown San Francisco at the end of July!
Throughout the funding process, we’ve been listening to our users and pushing ahead on releasing the most-asked-for features. A big update to the iPhone app just went live earlier this week, the Android app beta 2 has been released, and our open API continues to see a lot of traction. Like we always say, this is just the beginning.
We want to profusely thank the team at Year One Labs — mentors, advisors, and sister-companies alike — for helping us reach this milestone.
Oh, and by the way … want to create the future with us? Join the team!
